MY STORY

Born & raised in Wisconsin - which means I am very passionate about cheese curds! Growing up, my two obsessions were books and all things related to a camera. I had my own camera with TONS of videos and photos and I taught myself to edit on our desktop computer and made hundreds of videos that (thankfully) never saw the light of day. I dreamed of one day writing my own blog and posting videos on Youtube, but honestly I was too afraid to do it.

Fast forward a bit and I was in high school. Another one of my biggest dreams was to play collegiate volleyball. I made highlight tapes and posted them to Youtube often! I loved the art of creating them and was so proud of how they turned out. Luckily, I did end up getting that scholarship to play volleyball and I spent my college years in Memphis, TN.

I met my husband in Memphis while I was still in college. During my Senior Year of college, he encouraged me to pursue my dreams of making video content and so I did! In 2019, I posted my first video to Youtube on my personal channel. It was rough and it definitely wasn’t perfect, but I found so much joy through the art of creating.

A few years ago, I launched my second YouTube channel - LexListens. This channel took off rather quickly - now sitting at about 24K subscribers! It was magical and beautiful to have so many friends while diving into music I had never heard and fell in love with.

That brings us to my third YouTube channel - Out of Debt with Lex. I launched this channel in 2024 when I became determined to get us on the right financial path. Personal finances also have become a passion (ok, maybe an obsession) of mine and I have thoroughly enjoyed making content for that too!

It’s truly been a journey - one that I couldn’t do without my husband pushing me and rooting for me along the way. We share two beautiful kids together and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
